Color Palette of the Month: May

The time has come where the cold is behind us and we can finally bust out our shorts and tanks. The sun is out and you have flowers to smell. Technically Spring started in April, but to put in terms that I think we can all understand.. Spring is the party and May is Ke$ha. The weather is absolutely perfect this time of year and everyone seems to be spending more of their time outside enjoying nature, as intended. Of course with the changing of seasons we begin incorporating some of our favorite warm weather pieces. Your closets may be looking a little dark and sad after the long winter, so if you’re looking to revamp your wardrobe for this Spring, you have come to the right place. Here we have assembled all of our favorites that we think you should try in our Color Palette of the Month: May!

Iced Blue Tri-Blend and Light Blue

You may be thinking that these colors are the exact same, on the surface it may appear as such, but that is not the case. Although similar, the subtle differences are what make both of these pieces so unique. The thing I find most exciting is that not all of the colors have to be bright and vibrant to exude the full feelings of Spring. These two options on our Color Palette of the Month: May are perfect examples.

Hanes Authentic 5250 Short Sleeve T-Shirt

Bella + Canvas is notorious for crafting extremely soft and comfortable blank apparel. One of the things they tend to do best is their triblend apparel items. Tri-blend is a 50/25/25 blend of polyester, airlume combed and ringspun cotton and rayon. This not only creates a very soft feeling garment but creates the “heather” color many flock to and seek out. The Bella + Canvas 3413 is a great example of this method done right. And thus creating a nice lightweight shirt at 3.8 oz which is ideal for the upcoming months.

Hanes has been a staple for over 100 years, and for obvious reasons, consistently creating quality products. The Hanes 5250 Tagless T-shirt is a little heavier than its color counterpart previously mentioned at 6.0oz. Fear not for comfort was not compromised, as it is made with 100% comfortsoft cotton. Finished with a super convenient tag-free neck label.

Heather Orange and Orange

The tone has been set and we are reaching out for full Spring fashion. In reference to Spring this one may seem like an obvious choice. However, you can’t deny that it just encapsulates everything that is the beauty of Spring; bright, bold and vibrant. Here are different hues that you will definitely want to add to your closest asap.

Gildan has a wide array of color options to choose from and it may even become overwhelming. But that is what we are here for. The Gildan G640 Softstyle is a great place to start, crafted with 100% ringspun cotton to provide you with premium comfort. The G640 is great for when the temperatures begin to rise. It’s a rather nice lightweight and breathable shirt at just over 4 oz. Available in over 59 colors, there are plenty of options but the heather orange is just calling your name.

Next Level prides itself on making garments that are not only fashionable but comfortable, and they are always successful. The Next Level 6210 Premium Fitted CVC t-shirt is a testament to how they continue to release hip and comfortable options. Thoughtfully made with a 60/40 combed ringspun cotton/polyester blend for extra comfort. This basic t-shirt is made for a more “retail” or fitted look, and will look great layered and dressed up with your favorite light jacket.

Mint Green and Green Apple

Generally speaking, I prefer darker colored items. After finishing the bowl of ramen and trying to find somewhere to indulge in dessert immediately after, it just provides the assistance my self-confidence needs after such ventures. However, the bright hues of green are always so eye catching and I always find myself drawn to them. I thought for sure these should be included in the Color Palette of the Month: May. In regards to fashion, here are two of my favorites. And they just so happen to also be perfect for the season.

Anvil 980 Lightweight Fashion Short Sleeve T-Shirt

The Gildan G200 Ultra Cotton does not take its name lightly, a more heavyweight shirt option at 6.0oz. This is created using 100% pre-shrunk cotton for ultra comfort and made with a double-needle stitched neckline, bottom hem and sleeves for ultra durability. As one of our most popular items this serves as a great canvas to use for your designs or just wear as is. The options are endless.

Shifting over, just slightly to the darker shades of green, apple green. The Anvil 980 Lightweight Fashion Short Sleeve T-shirt is crisp just like its food predecessor, coincidence… I think not. Banana Cream and Butter

Aesthetically, some of my favorites here and they easily are the best named colors. Come on I can’t be the only person who is instantly intrigued by shirts listed as “Banana Cream and Butter”. I can confirm that this is because my brain then goes only to food… I was told this is a safe space so I hope there is no judgement. This still does not take away from the visually pleasing garment however. So if you are looking for something to make you stand out in a crowd and satisfy your cravings then these are just right.
