Right off the bat, no… CVC is not like the CVC on the back of your Mastercard. CVC in this instance stands for Chief Value Cotton. This meaning that your basic t-shirt is a blend of cotton and polyester, in which cotton heavily dominates. And not just regular cotton but rather extra soft combed and ringspun cotton. Chief value cotton also stands for the heathered colors or the “heathers.”

Heather CVC fabric was created with the intent to reduce import and export duties. By eliminating rayon (the third yarn to make it a triblend), these CVC tshirts became much more affordable than the coveted tri-blend t-shirt.

Triblend apparel consists of a blend of cotton, polyester, and rayon. Now if you aren’t familiar with rayon, basically it’s a premium high-quality material originally designed to be a silk substitute. Given the luxurious soft and smooth feel it’s easy to see why these shirts cost a little more. But I’m here to tell you it’s way worth it.

These tees are going to be the softest of the softest blank wholesale shirts. Plus the rayon and polyester offer moisture-wicking capabilities as well as a bit of stretch and minimal shrinkage.
